Easter Tournament 2012

The board of Gent Rugby Football Club is delighted to invite you to the 24th edition of its Easter Tournament for XVs teams. This will take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April 2012 at the Blaarmeersen in Ghent, Belgium. During this weekend 24 men’s teams, 12 ladies teams and 6 veterans’ teams will compete for the cup, prize money and eternal glory!

The complete schedule will be as followed:

Friday 6th of April:

  • Arrival and guided city tour
  • Saturday 7th of April: Pools games
  • BBQ, Performance, Party

Saturday 7th of April:

  • Pools games
  • BBQ, Performance, Party

Sunday 8th of April:

  • Finals of cup, plate and bowl games
  • Prize draw

Sign up fee will be Euro 250.

Prize money for first men’s and woman’s teams will be Euro 500, for the veterans team Euro 300. Teams who are present when placement competition commences on Sunday will get Euro 150 cash back.

For the first time there will be camping availability. The Rugby club will arrange patrol tents in a different area of the Blaarmeersen. Our package includes a patrol tent per team, guided tour of Ghent by the Gent ladies players, breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning and giant BBQ Saturday evening.

Price (based on 22 persons) for 1 night: Euro 550, 2-3 nights: Euro 750.
